Clowning Videos - Tamani by Amani

Amani: Tamani
Video by Ogopa DJs

This is one of those videos that when I was sitting there with my gin in hand watching it begin I was like WTF! She’s going slow on me again, I can’t believe this ish! Then the setting of the video hit me like a slap in the face when your mama just found out you ate the piece of chicken she was saving for your daddy!

This vid is set in the Bedouin lounge at Horseman……..I don’t know who slept with who, who died or got paid for this location. It’s one of those spots that I never thought I would ever see a kapuka type artist shoot at! But for a song that sounds nice like this the vid had to be nice.

After I was more settled and already singing along to the hook I noticed that they made Amani look different, the make up artist had overdone the make up kiasi but the hair is so on point. Now, I have always found her to be pretty, unlike a few of my cronies out there, so I would have gone with less make up, but then again considering it is a chile talking about her desire for a certain beau, she would be all dolled up, waiting for her man at the Bedouin lounge…

Amani is the only person in this shot n my girl was asking why they didn’t include some eye candy for the girls to see who she tamaniz! I don’t mind however coz first off not putting a face on the dude makes all the male groupies dream that it’s them she wants (dead giveaway….now my girl is going to know who I be dreaming about when I shout out inama* in my dreams…get your mind out of the gutter girl!). The girls on the other hand can pretend that they are Amani and the object of their lust/affection is up to them.
I cannot however deny that I was waiting to see that ex - Mr.USIU all in the vid looking like a dork as he did in the Patonee video (Sidebar: Has anyone seen Patonee, I think Ogopa needs to put out a missing persons ad on his no talent azz).

To cap it off, I think all in all it is a good video worth a second watch and the song is worth a second, third and fourth listen but still no classic. Great camerawork, though the editing could use just a little help (I do mean little less than kiasi). My quart of gin is halfway through, now let me see what video they have next for me! Nakutamani tamani!

*inama: Reverse for Amani
: Swahili for bend over
Now do the slowmo’s get the no pun intended or do I still need to take you to school!
